Gila County Sheriff's Office Receives Award from Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AzDPS) Air Rescue recently presented the Gila County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) with an award as a thank you for the Allowing the AzDPS Ranger to be stationed at the Sheriff’s Office Substation in Roosevelt during the Mistake Peak Fire. The DPS Ranger provided medical and emergency transport of fire personnel during the fire. The Gila County Sheriff’s Office allowed the Roosevelt Substation to be used as a base of operation with bunks and a medical room for fast and immediate response. The Gila County Sheriff’s Office reciprocated with a Thank You Plaque for the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s assistance during the most recent manhunt that was conducted in the Roosevelt and Tonto Basin area.
