Fire Debris Flood Zone Residents Please Sign Or Decline Cooperators Agreements

Cooperative_Agreement_GraphicGila County, along with the City of Globe and Town of Miami are clearing brush and debris from washes and drainages below the Pinal Mountains in order to mitigate and minimize flooding that could be severe if summer rains wash ash, debris, mud and boulders into Mackey’s Camp, Bloody Tanks Wash, Russell Gulch and other areas at-risk.
Some access to washes and drainages crosses private property, and Gila County asks homeowners to sign a form allowing access - or specifically declining.
The simple two-page form explains the flood mitigation measures being taken and asks for the homeowners name, mailing address, physical address, phone, email and property parcel number -- or a description of the property, in cases where owners don’t know the parcel number.
