Bullying Prevention

Gila County implements research-based bullying prevention K-8 using the Second Step program. This program sets a foundation for social and academic success for our students.

We also facilitate curricula for high school students. This evidenced-informed program is called Let's Erase Bullying.

The Center of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) defines bullying as any unwanted aggressive behavior(s) by another youth or group of youths, who are not siblings or current dating partners, involving an observed or perceived power imbalance. These behaviors are repeated multiple times or are highly likely to be repeated. To learn how to prevent bullying click here.
