Payson Regional Court Schedule

Check in at the counter before entering the courtroom, if you have official court business. 
If you have a court hearing plan on arriving early.
If you arrive late you may miss your court hearing.
THE COURT IS CLOSED DAILY FOR LUNCH 12:00 to 1:00PM
THE COURT DOES NOT OPEN ON THE THIRD THURSDAY UNTIL 08:30 A.M.

Gila County Local Rules; RULE 6 Court Attire and Demeanor
A. Counsel shall present themselves before the court attired in a manner befitting their profession and respect for the court.  Unless circumstances do not allow, male counsel shall wear shirts with collars and ties.  T-shirts, halter tops and shorts are inappropriate attire for either male or female counsel, parties or witnesses.
B. Food, chewing gum, and drinks, other than water are prohibited in the courtroom.
C. Weapons are prohibited in all court facilites except when carried by law enforcement officer on official business in that capacity or when specifically authorized by the presiding judge.  Persons within a court facility are subject to examination to determine that they are not in possession of weapons.
 

Turn off cell phones and removes hats and caps when entering the courtroom.

Pursuant to Administrative Order 2019-02, “Weapons in Gila County Court Facilities”
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Court security personnel shall have the discretion to ban entry into Gila County court facilities or temporarily store any item thought to pose a security risk. The following weapons and items are not allowed into the court facility.
Deadly Weapons: A deadly weapon is a firearm or any object designed for or capable of lethal force.
Explosives: An explosive is dynamite, nitroglycerine, rocket, incendiary device, blasting cap, firework, bomb, black power, or other explosive material, plastic explosive, and ammunition or components.
Flammable Liquids: Flammable liquid is any liquid that has a flash point of less than 100 degrees Fahrenheit and which is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 173.
Caustic Alkalis and Acids: This category includes any corrosive or poison, including household product with a poison label.
Contraband: This category includes any illegal or unauthorized controlled substances, including drug paraphernalia, as well as prescription drugs prescribed to another person.
Potential Weapons: This is a broad category and consists of anything that could be used as a weapon and is not necessary for court proceedings. Court security staff has the discretion to store such items, and will return legal items to the owner upon departing the courthouse
