| Road Maintenance: is responsible for the improvement and maintenance of the County Maintained Roadway System. Its primary function is to provide a safe and accessible roadway system to move citizens and commodities in and around the County. The Department assists other agencies in responding to emergencies such as fires and floods and manages the equipment and vehicle maintenance shops for the entire County Fleet.
The Department operates two road yards; the Copper Region road yard on Russell Gulch Lane and the Timber Region road yard at milepost 257 on Hwy 260 east of Star Valley. In addition to the road yards, the department has satellite facilities in Young, Tonto Basin, and Pine. The two vehicle and equipment shops are located at the Star Valley road yard and at the Gila County complex at 1400 Ash Street in Globe. Consolidated Roads Superintendent:
