Our Mission:
The mission of the Traffic Engineering Group is to reduce hazards related to to roads which have been adopted for maintenance into the Gila County Road System.
This mission is accomplished by the following functions:
Fabricate and Install Signing; Intersection pavement marking;
Develop and approve work zone traffic control plans; Collect traffic data for use in future road improvement designs and pavement maintenance planning; Perform intersection safety studies and recommend safety improvements; "Ball Banking" for the determination of advisory speed limits for curves; Recommend measures to reduce accident frequency and/or severity at locations with perceived accident problems.
