Request for Applicants: Tonto Basin Elementary School District Governing Board
TONTO BASIN (Thursday, September 3, 2015) - Gila County School Superintendent Linda O’Dell has announced the time line and process for appointment of a board member to the Tonto Basin Elementary School District Governing Board. The deadline for submission of application documents is 5:00 PM, Friday, September 18, 2015.
Registered voters who have lived in the Tonto Basin Elementary School District for at least one year are eligible to apply for appointment to the governing board. In addition to the residence requirement, Arizona Revised Statutes §15-421 stipulates that appointees 1) cannot be employed by the district, nor can their spouse; 2) cannot be a member of any other school district governing board; and 3) cannot have any members of their immediate family who currently reside with them (or have resided in their home within the last four years) who are members of the governing board.
Potential board members are required to complete an application document as part of the appointment process. Governing board applicants must also submit a letter of interest and three letters of reference, and participate in a personal interview. Application packets are available at the school district office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
