Senator Jake Flake, age 72, passed away Sunday June 8, 2008, in Show Low, AZ. He was elected to the Arizona State Legislature in 1996 serving from 1997 until his death. Jake served in the House of Representatives for 8 years, including 2 years as Speaker of the House. He also served 2 terms as a State Senator.

 
A memorial service has been planned for Senator Jake Flake in both Phoenix and Snowflake.

Phoenix
:
 
The Phoenix memorial service is planned for Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Phoenix East Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1835 E. Missouri Ave. Phoenix.

Snowflake
:
 
Visitation will be held in Snowflake on Thursday, June 12, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Park LDS Chapel, located at 421 N. Main, Snowflake.

Visitation will begin on Friday, June 13, at 9:00 a.m. at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.  The chapel is located at 48 N. Main, Snowflake.  Interment will follow at the R V Mike Ramsay Memorial Cemetery, located at the corner of 400 North and 400 West in Snowflake.
