ADoT hosts the 2007 Arizona Equipment Safety Partnering Roadeo
The 2007 Arizona Equipment Safety Partnering Roadeo was held on May 9th and 10th at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix. There were over 220 competitors and a total attendance of over 600 people. The Roadeo is designed to test the skills and knowledge of equipment operators. There are four components to the Equipment Roadeo, a Written Test will be required if applicable, Equipment Diagnostic (pre-trip), the Obstacle Course (maneuvering the equipment) and mandatory Safety Training. The 50+ Safety Training classes being offered at the 2007 Roadeo meet our Safety Training objective of a minimum of 3 hours of Safety Training. The Written Test, Equipment diagnostics, and Obstacle course meet the equipment operator’s skill and knowledge objective, with awards being given for first, second, and third place in all events.
