USDA Forest Service is revising Tonto National Forest Plan

The Tonto National Forest recognizes these are the people's lands and the public should be actively involved in their planning and management. The Tonto will provide many opportunities for coordination and collaboration throughout the plan revision process.

Our goal is to conduct an open, two-way process between the Forest and the people we serve. Through this process we expect to obtain comments that will enable us to:

  • Understand the needs and concerns of people
  • Develop a broad information base
  • Make better decisions

Your comments about the management of the Tonto National Forest are welcome any time. If you are familiar with the current Tonto plan and how it was implemented, we need to hear from you. Specifically, we are seeking answers to three questions:

  1. What new information do we need to incorporate into the plan?
  2. What parts of our current plan are working well?
  3. What parts of the plan aren't working well?
