NEWS RELEASE GLOBE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES SEEKS MEMBERS The Globe Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking two new volunteer members. The Board recommends Library policy and regulations for Globe City Council approval and recommends hiring of the Librarian to the City Manager. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Library meeting room. Board members must reside within the Globe city limits. Members are appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the City Council. Any qualified person interested in serving on the Library Board is invited to submit a letter of interest by June 27 to Jim Sterr, President, Globe Public Library Board of Trustees, 339 S. Broad St., Globe, AZ 85501. For more information call 425-6111. NEWS RELEASE GLOBE PUBLIC LIBRARY CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS The Globe Public Library Summer Reading Program is in full swing. Children age six to ten are invited to “Catch the Reading Bug” on Wednesday (going into grades 1 and 2) or Thursday (grades 3 and 4) mornings, from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m., until July 10. Adult and young adult volunteers are still needed to help with stories, songs, games and crafts. Interested persons are urged to contact Mary Helen Avalos or Ellen Watters at the library, 339 S. NEWS RELEASE NEW SUMMER HOURS ANNOUNCED AT THE MIAMI MEMORIAL PUBLIC LIBRARY Effective June 9th , the Miami Memorial Public Library located at 1052 Adonis Ave. will be open for business starting at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. They will close at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. On Friday they will close at 5:00 p.m. Saturday hours will be 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday and Monday.
