Neonatal Intensive Care Program

What is the NICP Program?
The NICP (Neonatal Intensive Care Program) is a home-based community health nursing and development follow-up service provided for children who experience difficulties at birth resulting in and NICU stay.

What is their Mission Statement?
To provide a safety net for Arizona families that ensures the most appropriate level of care surrounding birth and early identification and support for developmental needs.

What services does the NCIP Program provide?
Services include limited financial assistance, developmental screening and assessment, education, referral and advocacy.

What is the Community Nursing Services component?
The Community Nursing Services provides support to families during the transition of the infant to home; conducts developmental, physical and environmental assessments and makes referrals to specific community services as needed.
