Jail Bureau

  • What are inmate visitation hours and days?  Please Click here
  • How do I find out if my family member/friend is in jail?  Please contact either the Globe Jail Facility at (928)402-8666 or the Payson Jail Facility at (928)468-2835.
  • How do I find out if my family member/friend is being released from jail?  Please contact either the Globe Jail Facility at (928)402-8666 or the Payson Jail Facility at (928)468-2835.
  • How do I find out if my family member/friend is scheduled for a court appearance?  Please contact the appropriate Court where the inmate's matter is being resolved.
  • How do I get my personal property back while serving or after serving a sentence at the Gila County Jail?  Please Click here
  • How do I get my vehicle out of impound?  Please contact Sgt. Virgil Dodd at (928)402-4208 or (928)402-1886.
  • How do I arrange for getting my fingerprints taken for employment?  Please call for an appointment.  In the Globe area please call (928)402-8666, in the Payson area please call (928)468-2835.  There is a charge of $15.00 for this service, please bring the exact dollar amount as we are unable to make change.
  • How do I arrange for getting my fingerprints taken to comply with a court order?  Court ordered fingerprints are done on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  You must bring the court order documents along with a valid government picture identification with date of birth, i.e., driver's license, DES ID card, Arizona ID card, Military ID card, Passport, etc.

  • How long does my application stay on file?  Your application will stay on file with the Gila County Sheriff's Office for period of six months.
