Our Office

Gila County Emergency Management is responsible for the coordination of county resources and responsibilities for the protection of life, property and the environment in the event of an emergency or disaster, whether natural or man-made.

This is accomplished by applying principles of preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation to:

Identify and analyze potential threats and possible effects on population and infrastructure; Work cooperatively through partnerships with governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and the private sector to develop plans, provide training and exercise response scenarios;  Establish and maintain public outreach and training programs that assist residents to be prepared for, survive and thrive, before, during and after any emergency event or disaster.
