OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

Day Treatment & Training Adult: Provides training, supervision, therapeutic activities to promote skill development in independent living, self-care, communication and social relationships.

Habilitation Support: Provides a variety of interventions designed to maximize the functioning of people with developmental disabilities.

Group Supported Employment: Provides consumers with an on-site supervised work environment in a community employment setting.

Individual Supported Employment: Provides regular contacts at an individual job site with the employed consumer and/or employer.

Employment Supported Aide: Provides consumers with the one to one supports needed in order for the consumer to remain in his/her employment.

Job Development/Placement: The Job Coach performs job search with the client and local employers focusing on the best possible match of employer and employee.

Work Adjustment Training: The Employer may utilize a Job Coach or other appropriate staff to assist with training the client at the work site.

Supported Employment: Provides placement, training and other support services so that a severely disabled person can maintain employment

Supported Education: Provides advocacy and mentoring for individuals within educational settings, this includes coaching and coordination of support services.

EMPLOYERS:Reduced hiring costs: Training new employees takes time, and that time costs money. Job Coaching is a cost effective option made available through GEST to allow trainees the necessary time to learn a new job. With assistance from our Job Coaches, employees are trained to the employer’s specifications of their job duties. This ensures that the employee is properly trained.  

Our “Follow Along” services helps increased employee retention rate: Since GEST provides counseling and supportive services while the worker is in training, the trainee has an increased opportunity to make a successful transition into employment.

 Positive public image: Training disable citizens for our jobs helps keep the local economy strong and ensures employment retention which benefits all.
