These skills will increase their self esteem, family, friend’s relationships and community interaction, which foster a healthier and more active lifestyle. Learning these skills enables them to achieve self sufficiency and independence, where they become a contributing member of the community.

Decrease financial assistance from community tax dollars: As more and more unemployed residents become part of our local skilled labor force, we not only decrease the number of tax consumers, we increase the number of contributors and our entire community prospers.
EMPLOYERS:
Reduced hiring costs: Training new employees takes time, and that time costs money. Job Coaching is a cost effective option made available through GEST to allow trainees the necessary time to learn a new job. With assistance from our Job Coaches, employees are trained to the employer’s specifications of their job duties. This insures the employer that the employee is properly trained.
Our “Follow Along” services will assist you to keep a higher employee retention rate. Since GEST provides support services while the worker is in training, the trainee has an increased opportunity to make a successful transition into employment.
Positive public image: Training our residents for our jobs helps keep the local economy strong and ensures employment retention which benefits all.
