Site Investigations and/or Percolation (PERC) Tests performed within Gila County must be conducted by an individual/firm on this list. The “Site Evaluators” on the Contractors List have met the requirements specified in the Gila County Ordinance #01-2 and have successfully completed a training course given by the Gila County Wastewater Department and its specified prerequisite courses, regarding the requirements for evaluating sites for on-site wastewater treatment facilities contained in ADEQ’s Aquifer Protection Permit Regulations, effective November 12, 2005. The present of any Site Evaluator’s name on this list does not constitute an endorsement. The “Designers” on the Contractors List have met the requirements specified in the Gila County Ordinance #01-2 and have successfully completed a training course given by the Gila County Wastewater Department and its specified prerequisite courses, regarding the requirements for designing for on-site wastewater treatment facilities contained in ADEQ’s Aquifer Protection Permit Regulations, effective November 12, 2005. The presence of any Designer’s name on this list does not constitute an endorsement. This list contains the names of those designers who design both Conventional (Standard) On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems (septic tank systems), as well as designers who also design Alternative On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems (Aerobic or Textile Filter Wastewater Treatment Systems, Evapo-Transpiration Beds, Wisconsin Mounds, etc.) An asterisk (*) denotes designers qualified to design Alternative Wastewater Treatment Systems. The “Licensed Contractors” on the Contractors List have met the requirements specified in the Gila County Ordinance #01-2 and have successfully completed a training course given by the Gila County Wastewater Department and its specified prerequisite courses, regarding the installation requirements for evaluating sites for on-site wastewater treatment facilities contained in ADEQ’s Aquifer Protection Permit Regulations, effective November 12, 2005. The presence of any Contractor’s name on this list does not constitute an endorsement. Nor does the absence of any Licensed Contractor’s name of this list constitute the lack of an endorsement. Per ARS §32-1151 et.Seq., a person must possess a current Contractor’s License of the property type in his own name to legally contract with a prospective client to install an on-site wastewater treatment facility. Contractors with commercial licenses are not legally allowed to contract to install on-site wastewater treatment facilities to serve residences. Contractors with residential licenses are not legally allowed to contract to install on-site wastewater treatment facilities for commercial facilities. The proper types of Contractor’s Licenses necessary to contract to build residential and commercial on-site wastewater treatment facilities are listed directly on the Contractors List. The status of an installer’s Contractor’s License can be checked by calling the Registrar of Contractors at 1-888-271-9286 or at the following website: www.rc.state.az.us.
