WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT - CLEARANCE LETTERS
To obtain a Gila County Clearance Letter for a specific property, (to enable a person to obtain a Building Permit), a staff member of the Wastewater Department will review relevant documents. The customer will need to provide the following: - Site Plan drawn to scale, showing all components located on the property, (i.e., Assessor’s Parcel Number, water wells, septic tank location, leach field location, dimensions of the property, any existing buildings, location of new or remodeled house, modular, or manufactured home.) This is the same Site Plan you will submit with your building plans.
- If the Wastewater Department has no records on file, a Pumping Certification may be required
- A Floor Plan
- Statement of Understanding
- Owner’s Affidavit
If you are a Contractor or an Agent/Representative for the owner, please have a notarized document stating that you are allowed to handle transactions on this property. A Wastewater Department staff member will review the above documents to determine if the proposed changes are in compliance with applicable rules and regulations, and if so, a Clearance Letter will be issued.
