PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT
The Planning and Zoning Division of the Community Development Department has the primary responsibility for the enforcement of the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. The County has also appointed a nine member Planning & Zoning Commission to oversee the activities of this division.
How development occurs has a major impact on your quality of life. The job of the Planning and Zoning Division is to ensure you of the best quality of life that is reasonable to achieve.
Planning is the stage where we maximize our communications with the public to determine their desires or their vision for the future in regards to how growth should occur. Zoning and Subdivision regulations are the two primary tools to help implement that vision.
