Declaring a state of emergency in Gila County as a result of excessive rain storns which began on January 26th, 2008, and have reached a point of saturation causing flooding to occur within Gila County.
08-02-0102/05/08Opposing the proposed Forest Service Travel Management Plan for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in support of Greenlee County and other eastern Arizona counties.
08-02-0202/05/08Approving Planning and Zoning Department Case No. Z-07-05, a rezoning request submitted by Randy Gross to rezone a proposed Climbing Rock Estates Subdivision from General Unclassified to Rural Residential with a Planned Area Development in order to develop 204 residential lots in Winkelman--with attached Exhibit A.
08-02-0302/12/08Supporting the acute care (AHCCCS) proposal to be submitted by Pinal County to serve as an AHCCCS acute care provider in Pinal and Gila Counties.
08-02-0402/12/08Designating E. Jackrabbit Lane as a Country Dirt Road and accepting said road into the Gila County Country Dirt Road Maintenance System and to authorize the Chairman's signature on the Country Dirt Road Easement--with attached Exhibit A.

08-04-0204/01/08Authorizing the Gila County Housing Authority to submit its Streamlined Annual PHA Plan for Fiscal Year 2008 to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and to authorize the Chairman's signature on the Plan.
08-04-0304/01/08Authorizing the Gila County Board of Supervisors to sign the County Supervisors Association of Arizona and the Arizona Association of Counties' Resolution No. 1-08 urging opposition to any proposal to shift inmates from the Arizona Department of Corrections to county jails and request that the members of the Arizona State Legislature and the Governor of Arizona resist these proposals.

CUP-08-02, a conditional use permit request submitted by Arizona Reservation Ministries (Dale Lawrence) to operate typical church ministries on Assessor’s tax parcel number 102-27-002, a 45.53± acre parcel of land located in Six Shooter Canyon.
08-05-0205/13/08Accepting the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Arizona Department of Transportation and Gila County regarding National Bridge Standards and future bridge inspections in Gila County.  (The IGA was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 6, 2008.)
08-05-0305/27/08Naming a road in Payson to be called Peaceful Lane. 
08-06-0106/03/08Approving the extinguishment of a portion of a roadway easement in the Punkin Center area, as shown in Book 60 Real Estate Deeds, Page 58, Gila County Records, also shown on Record of Survey Map No. 58 and Record of Survey Map No. 3564, Gila County Records, Gila County, Arizona. 
08-06-0206/03/08Declaring a state of emergency in Gila County due to repetitive flood events along the Tonto Creek and Pinto Creek watersheds, Dripping Springs Wash and Pinal Creek.
08-06-0306/17/08Authorizing the adoption of Housing Services Program Guidelines dated June 3, 2008, in relation to an application for FY 2008 State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for a housing rehabilitation activity.
08-06-0406/17/08Authorizing the submission of application(s) for FY 2008 State CDBG funds and State Special Project funds, certifying that application(s) meet the community’s previously identified housing and community needs and requirements of the State CDBG Program, and authorizing all actions necessary to complete and implement activities outlined in the application(s).

revised Administrative Plan and its version two (2) Annual Plan for fiscal year 2008 to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
08-07-0207/15/08Approving Planning and Zoning Department Case No. CUP-08-04, a request for a conditional use permit submitted by Paul and Kendrick Messinger so that tax parcel 304-22-018C may be used as residential to allow cemetery staff  housing.
08-08-0108/04/08Amending Resolution No. 06-10-01 – a resolution of the Board of Supervisors to charge in civil cases a $2.00 fee for every writ services on behalf of the Justice of the Peace to be deposited into the Constable Ethics Committee Fund.  On July 1, 2008, the Board of Supervisors took action to increase the writ fee to $5.00; however, a related resolution was not presented at that time.
08-08-0208/04/08Authorizing the adoption of the 2008-2009 fiscal year budget for Gila County.
08-08-0308/07/08Declaring a state of emergency in Gila County as a result of heavy monsoon rains, which began on July 27, 2008, causing flash floods and erosion conditions.
08-08-0408/12/08Approving the application for Arizona Transportation Enhancement Program Round 16 to be utilized for the landscaping and scenic beautification of pedestrian/bus stops in the Pine and Strawberry area in the amount of $309,451 with a matching fund requirement of $17,639 from LTAF (Local Transportation Assistance Funds) and HURF (Highway User Revenue Funds) funds.
08-08-0508/12/08Authorizing the Gila County Probation Department’s participation in the FY 2008-2009 Family Counseling Program through the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts, Juvenile Justice Services Division, and certifies that a matching fund requirement of $2,328 for the Program will be provided by the County.
08-08-0608/18/08Authorizing the submittal of an application on behalf of and in partnership with the Payson Multi-Purpose Senior Center for consideration of funding by the Gila River Indian Community's State-Shared Revenue Program.  On July 15, 2008, the Board of Supervisors authorized the submittal of the grant application; however, the resolution was not presented at that time.
